Purpose ( Aim ) / Overall objective of the course-unit:
To provide participants with tools that will enable them to support both individual and community but with emphasis on the individual in the decision-making process for behaviour change.
Learning outcomes (Expected outcomes / Expected achievements for the participants).
Upon completion of this course unit, you will be able to:
- Identify main Health issues in Rwanda for which behaviour change is needed to address them,
- Explain the role of Health Communication / Health Education in the process of addressing those issues,
- Explain the communication process,
- Assess a health communication session done by a health care provider aiming at triggering behaviour change.
