The purpose of Health Communication is to support the individual / the community in the “ Behaviour change “process or in  maintaining  a  "positive Behavior “.

Health Communication is an exchange between any person able to transmit a Health message (Health professionals + Local leaders) called the “Transmitter” and the  beneficiary individual / population = the” Receiver”.

The transmitter provides  information.

The receiver receives the transmitted information and reacts, normally to information received, reason why we have a double arrow ( It is a communication in 2 ways ).
