MED1254: Microbiology I-Medicine and Dental Surgery

The module of microbiology I aim to introduce the student to the basic concept of medical microbiology, the pathogenic mechanisms of important medical microorganisms and the methods used for their diagnostics. The concepts taught will cover the areas of Parasitology, entomology and mycology. In addition, the students will be introduced to the types of immunity, component of immune system, Lymphoid system, antigen &antibody and complement system as well as MHC component.
