ME80365: Production Technology

The course aims to develop a fundamental knowledge on the Production and Technology,  to enable Mechanical Engineers to make  correct and reasonable selection of spare parts for various applications re-machining in programming machines tools. It covers, the basics of Metal Casting processes, Metal forming processes, Sheet Metal Operations and special welding. The machining process, Mechanics of Metal cutting, Forces acting on cutting tools and their measurement, Temperature in metal cutting, Multi-point tools, Gear cutting, Machines using abrasive wheels and Tool characteristics.
