  • Introduction:

    In this course the students are able to understand the different kind of Systems that are currently used in technology transfer in Rwandan rural areas in a particular way as well as worldwide in general.

    Learning Outcome:

    At the end of this course the students must be able:

    1. To describe Agricultural Extension and its role in Rural Development; 
    2. To understand Major components of Extension system;  
    3. To assimilate the existing different schools of rural Extension adopted in Rwanda;  
    4. To get insight on the most used Extension systems applied worldwide;  
    5. To master the techniques and modern methods of Agricultural Extension;  
    6. To better understand the roles of an agricultural extension agent in rural areas;  
    7. To master the National Agricultural Extension Strategic Plan of Rwanda.
