Trimester I

The module of Fundamental Chemistry is a 20 credit module which is mainly constituted with General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry. The aim of the module is to give students the tools they need to develop a working understanding of chemical principles. The module provides the basic groundwork in general, organic and physical chemistry as a foundation to Biochemistry, Advanced Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Chemistry. Laboratory work familiarizes students with laboratory apparatus and characterization of different chemical compounds.
