ME80764: Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing
Semester 7
The primary goal of this course is to teach students how to use computers to geometric-model mechanical components and seamlessly translate those digital models into instructions for automated manufacturing machinery.
By the end of this course, a bachelor’s student will be able to:
- Understand the mathematical theories behind computer graphics and 3D geometric modeling.
- Design complex parts and assemblies using standard industrial CAD software.
- Generate CNC (Computer Numerical Control) code directly from digital models to manufacture parts.
- Optimize production workflows using automation, robotics, and integrated data systems
