This module of study identifies the essential knowledge, skills and attitude that all students need to know about normal growth and development of the child, basics of sensory integration theory, motor control / motor learning theories, various pediatric assessment procedures, various pediatric outcome measures, different pediatric conditions, different physiotherapeutic techniques for pediatric conditions rehabilitation as well as the scope of practice of pediatric rehabilitation, such pediatric skills informs the learners of the professional scope of practice in the field of pediatrics.
The aim of the module is to empower third year Physiotherapy students with ability to understand and design health research study using appropriate research and analytical techniques
The purpose of this course is to enable the students to understand different neurological conditions, their assessment and management.
This module provides to a student knowledge, skills and understanding on Neurological conditions of the central nervous system affecting human movement including Stroke,Traumatic brain injury,Multiple Sclerosis and Spinal Cord Pathologies such as traumatic spinal cord injury lastly it will also cover Peripheral Nerve Pathologies such as facial nerve pasly among others.A set of practice skills will be gained through this module to be able to manage this conditions.
