The Module aims at helping students to understand the structures of the nervous system and how it influences behavior, learning and development of individuals. Students will be able to understand the difference between the main functions of the central and peripheral nervous system and the different stages of perception formation. Students will also develop strategies to deal with the identified learning needs attributed to neurological dysfunction and analyse the role of environment in neurological dysfunction.
This module aims at setting the foundation of knowledge and understanding of children with varying educational disadvantages or Special Educational Needs through a blended mode. It describes the concepts related to the different educational disadvantages. It also describes the services for children with Special Educational Needs and the role of care givers such as Screening and Special Educational Needs Assessment procedures and rehabilitation for young children. The present module also explains policies and legislations for those with disabilities.
