This module intends to empower students with ability to conduct and evaluate research in various areas of environmental health and other health related disciplines and basic knowledge of statistics and research techniques to perform statistical analyses in research. It provides a solid foundation in biostatistics including understanding types of data, descriptive statistics, probability and introduction to inference. Methods and skills required to identify a specific environmental health and other health related problems for research and to demonstrate an ability to make valid judgments are discussed in this module.
This module encompasses the principles of Blood Transfusion science. Blood transfusion science, more commonly known as "blood banking" is an area of laboratory medicine that deals with preparing blood and blood components for transfusion as well as the selection of appropriate, compatible components for transfusion. This module aims at training introducing the principles of blood transfusion science and blood transfusion practice in biomedical laboratory.
