Semester 1

This module aims at developing the students to understand their role in the management of disability within the rehabilitation team.

Learners will also acquire skills in observation and identification of diagnostic features, the Medical and surgical aspects of disabling conditions and in team approach in rehabilitation. 

This module enables learners to understand the various trends in public health and the role of the OT.

1.    Explore recent global trends in public health and occupational settings.

2.    Describe various occupational hazards and prevention as well as control measures.

3.    Apply occupational treatment principles in public health.

4.    Understand the role of occupational therapy in public health.
