Total Quality Management (TQM) is a course that focuses on the principles and practices used to improve organizational performance through continuous quality improvement, customer satisfaction, and efficient process management. The course introduces students to quality management concepts, including leadership in quality, teamwork, benchmarking, statistical process control, quality assurance systems, and continuous improvement strategies such as Lean and Six Sigma. It also examines the contributions of quality pioneers like W. Edwards Deming and Joseph Juran. By the end of the course, students are expected to understand how organizations apply TQM tools and techniques to enhance productivity, reduce defects, improve customer satisfaction, and achieve long-term organizational success.
