Trimester 1

This module aims at equipping students with understanding of financial management aspects of business organizations with emphasis to investment, sources, costs, uses and structure of finance and budgeting control of organizational funds. Therefore, the module will tackle financial decisions on investment; financing; liquidity, dividend decisions) and basic analysis of the financial statements. The module covers key elements of Financial Management. It provides students with a conceptual and theoretical basis for making financial decisions. It familiarizes students with matters relating to short and long term financing alternatives, capital budgeting, the Dividend Policy or how to create and measure shareholder value. The module will as well cover relevant financial management concepts such as the Weighted Average Cost of Capital  (WACC), the Capital Structure or the Dividend Policy. It also enables students to use appropriate models and techniques to solve financial problems in the context of uncertainty. It uses practical examples and cases to explain the goals of financial management and investment practice.

Trimester 1

This module aims at imparting the knowledge and skills required by the students on marketing product as well as services.  Specifically, the objective is to make the student to understand the philosophy of marketing, skills required by the marketing managers to manage the marketing activities domestically and globally.  Also, student can understand market environment scanning, the individual and business customers and their buying decisions, developing and managing the marketing mix and monitoring and controlling the marketing activities.  Further it aims at how learning from this module can help the student in their career growth.

This course equips learners with an understanding of the emergence of HRM and the role HRM plays in contemporary organisations.

It illustrates the people management strategies and practices that organisations deploy to secure a lasting, strategic, competitive advantage from their human resources.

Upon successful completion of the module learners will possess an insight into HRM theory, strategy and practices and they will be able to critically assess HRM and its applications in organisational life.

Learners will also be provided with an insight into the contemporary debates relating to HRM and the role HRM plays in contributing to organisational success. The module also enables learners to make more informed career decisions and thus prepare for future employment opportunities.
