This module aims to equip learners with knowledge, appropriate skills and attitudes for providing holistic nursing care to common aging health related risks and diseases in old adult people and management of critically ill patients on palliative care.
This foundation module explores knowledge development in nursing, analyzes selected nursing and related concepts, and examines the relevance of theory to research, practice, and education in the field of nursing. It is designed to deepen learners’ understanding of the nature of knowledge in general and of nursing knowledge in particular.
Welcome to the Course of Intercultural Learning in Nursing during a COVID pandemic
Welcome to this collaborative online course. In this course, we will examine the nurses’ roles and responsibilities in the Covid-19 pandemic frontline. We will also analyze the effect of country-specific public policy and legislation in response to Covid-19 and compare them with other countries. During this course, nursing students will also be able to compare their experiences of nursing during the Covid-19 pandemic with colleagues from different countries.
Learning context can change very rapidly in education, this COIL project can help students to develop intercultural competencies and learn with and from nursing students from other countries. In this course, there will be nursing students participating from Rwanda, UK, Finland, Brazil, and Belgium.
